
Events
Radom Academy of Economics maintains relationships with the milieu through its scientific and social activities. It regularly works with the media, community organizations, local and central authorities as well as with the foreign institutions and research centers in the country and abroad.
The university is active in the local community through numerous social initiatives. The distinctions and awards acquired by the university are the confirmation of the importance of these activities for the city and region. The initiatives taken by Radom Academy of Economics, such as open lectures, meetings and conferences, affect the systematic contact with the milieu.
Radom Open Lectures
Radom Open Lectures are regular meetings with the leading Polish politicians, financiers and well-known public figures addressed to students and residents of our city. They provide an opportunity for direct contact with people commonly known from the media. The biggest benefit of them is that the audience can ask the guests questions and actively participate in the discussions. These meetings are very popular and permanently etched into the political landscape of our city and region.
International Lectures
We organize lectures on international affairs, the world situation and foreign policy of other countries delivered by ambassadors, high rank diplomats whose countries have diplomatic posts in Poland. During those lectures students and residents of Radom can find out more about the ambassadors' homelands or their current aspects of international cooperation.
Conferences
Radom Academy of Economics, fulfilling its educational mission, not only educates students, but also constitutes a center of scientific and academic life. Numerous conferences, which are organized in collaboration with the best universities in Poland are the best example of this. These conferences bring together the community of scientists and practitioners from all over the country. They constitute a forum for discussions about issues of social, economic and political nature. The conferences enable the confrontation between science and practice through the exchange of views and experiences. During such meetings scientific achievements from a given field, the latest trends in research and solutions are presented.
Wszechnica Radomska
A series of lectures on various topics, addressed to students of Radom Academy of Economics and others interested in science, economy and politics. Lecturers from the Polish and foreign universities as well as experienced practitioners are the speakers during those meetings. They discuss the current problems in the field of law, economics, politics and social and international relations. These lectures provide opportunities for discussions and a forum for the exchange of experiences and observations.
Radom Academy of Computer Science
A series of lectures addressed to all who are interested in Computer Science. These meetings are aimed at presenting the latest IT solutions by renowned experts from around the world. They receive a lot of interest from both the students of Radom Academy of Economics and people from outside the university. They create a unique opportunity for presenting the practical application of information technology methods and the role of information technology in the modern world.
Journalism lectures
„Top Press” is a series meetings with leading journalists who raise issues such as journalistic ethics, secrets of the journalist's workshop as well as the current problems of social life in the country and abroad, which are the subject of a lively discussion in the media.
Days of European Culture
A series of events aimed at showing and familiarizing the residents of Radom with culture, traditions, customs and cuisine of European countries. The events include lectures, exhibitions and stage shows. Many international guests and representatives of foreign embassies add splendour to our colorful events with their presence. So far, we celebrated: a Day of Russian Culture, French Culture Day, British Culture Day, Day of German Culture, Spanish Culture Day or Day of American Culture.
African Days in Radom
Unusual cultural event aimed at familiarizing the Europeans with the African culture, its diversity and beauty as well as drawing attention to and raising awareness of the students and residents of our city of its possibilities and problems.
African Days are accompanied by an exhibition of photographs and African art, concerts, performances, festival of African films and many other events. The embassies of all the African countries in Poland take the patronage over the event.
Public Debates
The university is a forum for important public debates with politicians, government , local authorities, representatives of social and other organizations. Organized by the university debates are open and everyone can participate in them. They are also widely supported by the local media. Key issues for the region, country and the whole society are the subject of the discussions.
Exhibitions
We have organized exhibitions of student works in a series we called "Factory of Art". Drawings and graphics arranged in thematic cycles (e.g., "Drying-room", "Rome Open City", " "Radom – a city of your opportunity," "The upward fall-that is, from idea to idea," and others) have been exhibited in the hall of the Faculty of Humanities, at 61Traugutta Street and in the "Cafe Gallery" of the Faculty of Computer Science, 7a a Domagalskiego Street. Radom Academy of Economics, three years in a row, has hosted an exhibition of the best Polish press photographs – photographs by PRESS PHOTO winners. Additionally, the university has organized exhibitions on the Radom pedestrian street.
