As part of international lecturers, the Ambassador of China his Excellency Xu Jian gave a lecture on “Strategic partnership between China and Poland at Radom Academy of Economics on 18th of May, 2013.
The Ambassador focused on a detailed description of economic, cultural, and educational aspects. The educational aspects met with a wide interest from students. In the future, China is planning to sponsor 5000 scholarships for Polish students who are willing to take up education over that part of the world. The Ambassador pointed out that mutual cooperation between China and Poland needs to be strengthened on all levels. What is more, it was also stressed during the lecture that Poland is one of the first countries in Europe that started maintaining bilateral relations with new China. In 2011, Poland and China made an official agreement on strategic partnership in a variety of disciplines such as trade, education or even culture.
After the lecture, the audience took part in an open debate during which different questions regarding the Chinese-Polish partnership could be asked. One of the questions was connected with the environment protection which is currently being polluted quite heavily as a result of industrialization. The Ambassador admitted that this a new topic for Chinese politicians who tend to pay greater attention to that problem.
The Ambassador of China His Excellency Xu Jian was the 34th Ambassador visiting our Academy and the people of the Radom region.
