DAYS OF DIALOGUE FOR WORLD CULTURES
Days of Dialogue for World Cultures organized by Radom Academy of Economics turned out to be a huge success. Meetings on 22nd May with ambassadors and representatives of embassies from USA, Russia, India, New Zealand, Indonesia and Croatia attracted a lot of students and other people interested in the event.
Apart form the meetings with the representatives of the embassies there were a lot of photo exhibitions, food tastings, ethnographic workshops, lectures by famous travellers, screenings of the films, like for example: “Gucha - Distant Trumpet”.
On Saturday, the 23rd May, there were numerous performances and concerts. In the late evening a group of actors from Woskrjesjenia Lviv Theatre performed an outdoor play titled „Gloria”. It was based on Ukrainian folk tales and it referred to customs and rituals accompanying people throughout their lives from birth to death. In the dancing parts of the play songs by Ukrainian artist Ruslana, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Ukraine in 2004, were used. The play attracted a huge audience to the Corrazzi Square.
Days of Dialogue for World Cultures were seen as a very interesting event. They definitely livened up the city.
We are very grateful to the President of the City of Radom, UNESCO and all of our partners for the help and cooperation as well as to the media who helped us promote the event.
Radom Academy of Economics is going to organize Days of Dialogue for World Cultures also next year.
