It is a fact! The Polish language comes across as one of the most difficult languages in the world that troubles also Poles on multiple occasions. That is why its acquisition is a great challenge for foreigners, however, during this year’s edition of the Summer Course of Polish Language and Culture over 80 foreign students have taken on a challenge to learn the Polish Language. The beginnings were not easy. However, everyday classes, self-motivation, determination and hard work assisted students in fighting all language obstacles.
During a two-month period not only did the participants make a progress in using the language, but also they familiarized themselves with the Polish traditions and culture. This was possible thanks to implementing up-to-date methods and techniques of learning a language that let students acquire the language through fun and entertainment. The students also participated in multiple trips during which they could check their language skills out. These were, e.g., visits to Malczewski’s Musem or Village Museum located at the outskirts of Radom. All of these would not be possible without the outstanding lecturers who did their best to cater for all students’ needs.
What is worth adding is that participants of the course were positively surprised with the Polish reality. They did not expect Poland to be such a modern country and Radom such as a tourist-friendly city. On the whole they did enjoy the experience and more importantly they improved their Polish language skills which hopefully help them successfully complete the studies at our Academy.
We wish all participants best of luck in their future careers and we are convinced that the command of Polish will make a difference in their lives.
