The Faculty of Humanities, The Faculty of Legal Sciences, The Faculty of Technical and Strategic and Technical Studies invite for the International Academic Conference entitled Local Social Policy in the face of the Disabled and the Socially Maladjusted the conference takes place on the 29^th of March, 2014 in Mielec.

Disability and maladjustment is in the center of interests of multiple scientific disciplines. Considering the fast pace of social, economic and cultural changes, social pedagogy, rehabilitative pedagogy and social pedagogy have to find their place in the changing reality. The primary objective of this conference is to present the challenges and development prospects for modern social policy, social pedagogy in the context of disability and maladjustment.

We would like to invite for the conference the didactic staff, pedagogues, teachers, form teachers, social workers, workers resenting various institutions and both the disabled and maladjusted as well as their families. The outcome of the conference will be the publication of the discussed issues.

We offer the particular topics for discussion:

-therapeutic work with the disabled and maladjusted

-innovations in social and rehabilitative pedagogy

-examples to follow in the area of supporting the disabled in a local environment

-legal aspects of social assistance in  reference to the families of the disabled and socially maladjusted

-administrative aspects in the area of therapy and social maladjustment

-administrative and legal regulations connected with rehabilitation of the maladjusted

-the obstacles and problems of people supporting the disabled and maladjusted

-the prospects of development of the Social Polish Policy in reference of the disabled and maladjusted

-voluntary work for the disabled and maladjusted people

Workshops:

Recognizing drug behaviour. The principles treatment of teenagers under the influence of drugs. The workshops will be conducted by ass. Prof. Mariusz Jędrzejko – Mazovia Center of Drug Prevention.
