Applying in May 2013, Radom Academy of Economics has been granted an extended Erasmus Charter for Higher Education for the year 2014-2020 as part of the new Erasmus Programme and is obliged to comply with the regulations and realize the Erasmus Policy Statement.
The Erasmus Programme is a new programme of the European Union for education, training and sport activities established on the 19th of December 2013 on the decision made by the European Parliament.
The Erasmus Programme + that supports the education training, youth initiatives and sport in Europe will begin in January 2014. Up to 5 million young people , students and adults gain experience and skills by studying , training or volunteering abroad under the Erasmus + . Additionally, the program will support the work of about 115 thousand . institutions and organizations in all sectors of education.
The Erasmus Programme + replaces the seven previous existing programmes and introduces a number of simplifications that enable access to education funds that will be easier than ever.
Apart from the programmes such as “Lifelong Learning” or “Youth in Action” , other programmes will be also realized under the new Erasmus Programme such as “Erasmus Mundus” , Tempus or Jean Monnet. The Erasmus is also going to support the sport initiatives.
The budget that will be used under New Erasmus Programme is up to 14.7 billion euros , it is 40 percent . more than the money invested in the current programmes . More than 4 million people receive support to be able to learn, train , work or do volunteer work in another country.
